Sherri Jones
Dr. Sherri Jones has 36 years’ experience as a nursing professional. Most of her career was served at The Johns Hopkins Hospital located in Baltimore, Maryland where she served as an ICU clinical nurse, clinical instructor, nurse manager, coordinator for nursing programs, clinical project liaison for the JHH medical campus expansion, and Assistant Director of Nursing.
In her later role as the Assistant Director of Nursing for The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center (213 bed pediatric facility), she had oversight of nursing quality and patient safety programs along with many other operation responsibilities. She had direct supervision of Pediatric Case Management and Advanced Practice Nursing, regulatory and compliance, patient safety event reporting, and all nursing quality measures. She also collaborated with Johns Hopkins International in several consultative roles on topics of nursing leadership, patient safety and quality, and new hospital design.
She is currently the owner/CEO of Sherri Emerson Jones DNP LLC-healthcare consulting where she is currently contracted as a program manager for a healthcare facility focusing on operations readiness and transition planning for new hospital expansion.
She has a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Master of Science of Nursing in Health Systems Management, and Certificate in Business of Nursing, all from Johns Hopkins University, School of Nursing Baltimore, Maryland.
